Club Atlético Newell's Old Boys, commonly known as Newell's, is an Argentine soccer club based in Rosario. Founded in 1903, the club has a rich history and is one of the most successful teams in Argentine football. Newell's Old Boys play their home matches at the Estadio Marcelo Bielsa, also known as the "Coloso del Parque," which has a capacity of around 38,000 spectators. The club's nickname, "Leprosos," is derived from the leprosy hospital that was located near their original playing field. Newell's Old Boys have won the Argentine Primera División six times, with their most recent triumph coming in 2013. They have also had success in international competitions, winning the Copa Libertadores in 1987.
