CA Penarol is a prestigious soccer club based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Founded in 1891, it is one of the oldest clubs in South America. The team plays its home matches at the Estadio Campeon del Siglo, which has a capacity of over 40,000 spectators. Known as "Manyas," a term derived from the Lunfardo slang, the club has a passionate fan base that has supported them throughout their rich history. Penarol has enjoyed tremendous success, winning numerous domestic and international titles. They have won the Uruguayan Primera Division a record 51 times, establishing themselves as the most successful club in the country. Internationally, Penarol has won the Copa Libertadores on five occasions, solidifying their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in South American football.
