UWIC Inter Cardiff, now known as Cardiff Metropolitan University Football Club, is a Welsh football club based in Cardiff. The club was formed in 2000 as a merger between UWIC (University of Wales Institute, Cardiff) and Inter Cardiff FC. The team plays their home matches at Cyncoed Campus, which is part of Cardiff Metropolitan University. UWIC Inter Cardiff had a successful spell in the Welsh football pyramid, earning promotion to the Welsh Premier League in 2003. They achieved their highest league finish of 4th place in the 2006-2007 season. The club also had notable cup runs, reaching the semi-finals of the Welsh Cup in the 2004-2005 season.
