Esperance Sportive de Tunis, commonly known as Esperance, is a Tunisian football club based in Tunis. Founded in 1919, the club has a rich history and is one of the most successful clubs in African football. They play their home matches at the Stade Olympique de Radès, a 60,000-seater stadium located in Radès, a suburb of Tunis. Esperance has won numerous domestic and continental titles, including 30 Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 championships, making them the most successful club in Tunisian football history. They have also achieved success on the continental stage, winning the CAF Champions League four times, in 1994, 2011, 2018, and 2019. The club is nicknamed "Blood and Gold" due to their traditional red and yellow kit. This nickname reflects the club's strong and passionate fan base, as well as their determination and ambition on the field.
