Herediano, officially known as Club Sport Herediano, is a prominent soccer club based in Heredia, Costa Rica. Founded in 1921, the club has a rich history and is one of the oldest and most successful teams in the country. Herediano has won the Costa Rican Primera División title on numerous occasions, with their first triumph coming in 1921. They have since gone on to claim the championship 28 times, making them one of the most successful clubs in Costa Rican football history. The team plays their home matches at the Estadio Eladio Rosabal Cordero, which has a capacity of around 8,700 spectators. Herediano's nickname is "El Team," a name that reflects their strong team spirit and unity.
