Nautico (PE) is a Brazilian soccer club based in Recife, Pernambuco. Founded in 1901, it is one of the oldest clubs in the country. Nautico has a rich history and has achieved success at various levels. The club has won the Campeonato Pernambucano, the state championship, a record 22 times, with their most recent triumph in 2018. Nautico has also had success in national competitions, winning the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B, the second division of Brazilian football, in 1984 and 1990. The club's home venue is the Estadio dos Aflitos, known for its passionate atmosphere. Nautico is affectionately known as "Timbu," which is a local term for a small mammal found in the region.
