Racing Genk, a Belgian professional soccer club, was founded in 1988. The club is based in the city of Genk, Belgium, and their home venue is the Luminus Arena, formerly known as the Cristal Arena. Racing Genk has had a relatively short but successful history. They have won the Belgian Pro League four times, in the seasons 1998-1999, 2001-2002, 2010-2011, and 2018-2019. The club has also won the Belgian Cup four times and the Belgian Supercup twice. Racing Genk is known by the nickname "De Smurfen" (The Smurfs) due to their blue and white team colors.
