Sepahan Football Club, based in Isfahan, Iran, is one of the most successful clubs in the country's football history. Established in 1946, the club has a rich history and a strong fan base. Sepahan plays its home matches at the Foolad Shahr Stadium, which has a capacity of around 20,000 spectators. The club is nicknamed "Esfahan Steel" due to its close association with the steel industry in the region. Sepahan has enjoyed significant success, winning the Iranian Pro League title on five occasions, most recently in the 2014-2015 season. They have also won the Hazfi Cup, Iran's domestic cup competition, six times. The club has represented Iran in the AFC Champions League multiple times, reaching the semi-finals in 2007.
