Daejeon Citizen is a professional soccer club based in Daejeon, South Korea. The club was founded in 1997 and currently competes in the K League 2, the second tier of South Korean football. Daejeon Citizen's home venue is the Daejeon World Cup Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 40,535. The club is nicknamed "The Purples" due to their traditional purple home kit.
