Gyeongnam FC is a professional soccer club based in Changwon, South Korea. The club was founded in 2006 and currently competes in the K League 2, the second tier of South Korean football. Gyeongnam FC's home venue is Changwon Football Center, a stadium with a seating capacity of around 12,000. The club is nicknamed "The Reds" due to their traditional red home kit. Gyeongnam FC has had a relatively successful history, with their most notable accomplishment being the K League 1 title in 2018. This achievement marked their first-ever top-flight championship. The club has also had success in domestic cup competitions, reaching the final of the Korean FA Cup in 2009 and 2012. Gyeongnam FC has established itself as a competitive team in South Korean football, consistently challenging for promotion to the top division.
