Moreirense Football Club, commonly known as Moreirense, is a Portuguese football club based in Moreira de Cónegos, Guimarães. The club was founded in 1938 and has since established itself as a prominent team in Portuguese football. Moreirense has primarily competed in the top tiers of Portuguese football, with occasional spells in the lower divisions. The club's home venue is the Estádio Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas, which has a seating capacity of around 6,000 spectators. Moreirense's nickname is "Os Verdes e Brancos" (The Green and Whites), which reflects the club's traditional colors.
