Ventforet Kofu is a professional soccer club based in Kofu, Japan. The club was founded in 1965 and has since established itself as a prominent team in the J.League. Ventforet Kofu's home venue is the Yamanashi Chuo Bank Stadium, which has a seating capacity of around 17,000 spectators. The club's nickname is "Ventforet," which is a combination of the French word "vent" meaning wind, and the English word "forest." This name was chosen to represent the strong winds that blow through the Yamanashi Prefecture, where the club is located, as well as the lush forests that surround the area.
